This week all kinds of AirMail knock-offs are popping up and really bumming us out. It’s been such an amazingly difficult process from idea to design to manufacturing to patent application to officially becoming an LLC business to customer service to dealing with PayPal. It’s been rough, and for these people to rip off not only our idea and design, but even our website vibe, it just sucks.
Even the big guys are starting to rip us off.
Well, wish us luck. We’re only going to try harder and make our sleeve with as much love as possible.
Living creatures, completely unaware of Man’s immortal soul see him only as a vicious destructive creature with an infinite capacity for making a mess, unable to relate to The Earth and without aesthetics. As a dying butterfly was heard to whisper:—
“He’s a fucking lunatic!”

Our new friend from New Orleans told us about the Koolickle yesterday. Apparently it’s already been all over the internet and in the New York Times, but I’m still shocked and pretty stoked to try one sometime. There’s already a pursuit to trademark the name.
We (Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans) excitedly came up with the AirMail idea minutes after we watched Steve Jobs' keynote at Macworld. It's obvious, sure, but we're all about making it happen.
When he's not exercising his (puny) web design muscles, Jona is a full-time touring musician, under the name of YACHT. He played more than 200 YACHT shows around the world in 2007, chasing his newly-released album (which he recorded on a MacBook, duh) across North America, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and China. Check out his deeply archival tour blog and stoked musings here, and download YACHT on iTunes.
Claire's day job is as a freelance journalist, which means she can travel around the world with Jona, writing great stories and scheming new art projects and performances, too. Read her psychedelic musings about science and culture here.
We've been collaborating on music, art, lunch, and other projects since 2005.
Thanks for asking! Who are you?
